TC-2025-000176-PHL
Tropical Cyclone,Philippines: Severe Tropical Storm Bualoi (local name: Opong), the Philippines' 15th tropical cyclone for 2025, is threatening many areas in Luzon and the Visayas, including Metro Manila and the rest of Southern Luzon. It could make landfall in Bicol on Friday, September 26, carrying torrential rain and fierce winds.

DR-2025-000172-SOM
Drought,Somalia: Poor rainfall, flooding and persistent conflict are driving 3.4 million people into high levels of acute food insecurity between July and September 2025. This includes around 625,000 people (3 percent of the population) experiencing Emergency (IPC Phase 4) levels of acute food insecurity, and 2.8 million people (15 percent of the population) in IPC Phase 3 (Crisis). In northern regions, poor rainfall and drought conditions have led to failed crop production and poor livestock production and reproduction. In central and southern Somalia, conflict and flooding disrupted crop production in some agropastoral and riverine communities, triggering population displacement and undermining both livelihood activities and access to markets.

TC-2025-000170-TWN
Tropical Cyclone,Taiwan (China): Fourteen people have died in Taiwan's eastern county of Hualien with 124 missing after a barrier lake in the mountains overflowed to deluge a town during a typhoon, the fire department said on Wednesday, 24 September 2025. Taiwan has been lashed since Monday by the outer rim of Super Typhoon Ragasa, now heading for China's southern coast and the Asian financial hub of Hong Kong.

TC-2025-000170-CHN
Tropical Cyclone,China, People's Republic: Tropical Cyclone RAGASA is expected to continue westward over the South China Sea, slightly weakening, and to make landfall over the southern Guangdong province, southern China, on 24 September. Over the next 96 hours, very heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges are forecast over central and northern Philippines, southern China and most of Taiwan.
