Flood,Myanmar: Rescue and relief operations are continuing in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region, after heavy rainfall and river erosion caused a section of the Ngawun River embankment to collapse on the night of 30 July. The breach led to flooding in five urban wards of Laymyethna, major roads in the town area and 45 surrounding villages.

Tropical Cyclone,China, People's Republic: Typhoon Noul damaged factory buildings and infrastructure in the southern Chinese city of Huizhou on Monday, July 27, as strong winds and heavy rain swept across Guangdong province. Fallen trees and flooded roads disrupted transportation, while authorities warned of an increased risk of flash floods, landslides and other secondary disasters as the storm continued to bring heavy rainfall.

Flash Flood,India: Exceptionally heavy monsoon rainfall beginning on 19 July 2026 caused severe flooding across Assam State in northeastern India. Rivers overflowed and floodwaters spread rapidly across low-lying areas, with conditions peaking around 27-28 July. As of 28 July, approximately 1.14 million people had been affected across 25 districts, 77 revenue circles and 2,185 villages. Nearly 30,000 people were evacuated, and more than 71,000 sought shelter in relief camps. The floods fully damaged 1,368 houses, partially damaged 11,066 houses and inundated more than 74,450 hectares of cropland, causing significant disruption to livelihoods, essential services and transport infrastructure.
